Tango Dancing Classes 2007
All classes in detail:April 14 – 21, 2007 Steve & Debbie Morrall
Steve and Debbie Morrall have been teaching tango in the UK since 2000 and organise the acclaimed Tango Tangk workshops. For them tango is more than just teaching dance. It is an emotional journey where new dancers can discover ways to be creative, to communicate without words and to respond and adapt in a constantly changing environment. It is an affirmation of mind, body and spirit and the pleasure of intimate contact with another person. In April 2007 the couple return to La Rogaia to teach an improvers course suitable for people who have learnt tango basics and are ready to explore methods of improving connection, musicality and style. Steve's experience as a tango musician, (he plays bandoneon and piano) is used in a fun and engaging way to help dancers interact creatively with the music. During the week they will identify, explain and resolve the 10 most common faults found in the dance that slow a dancers progress towards style and connection. More about Steve and Debbie at

They are running a Tango School in Vienna, Austria, and perform often in shows. In their classes they emphasize a correct technique and posture. Two hearts beat in Wolfgang’s breast, and it is difficult to
say, whether his bigger passion is sculpture or tango. In any
case he is an excellent teacher, who imparts to his students
with patience, artistic creativity and a lot of humour the joy
for those things, that fill him with enthusiasm. May 19 - 26, 2007 Brigitta Winkler
Brigitta Winkler divides her time between New York and Berlin, where she studied ballet and modern dance for many years. In 1980, her life changed when she discovered Argentine tango. She then spent some years in Paris studying with Virulazo, a star of Tango Argentino. At that time she met Coco Orlando Diaz, and they began performing together at Les Trottoirs de Buenos Aires in Paris. In 1986, they took their own show to Montreal and Toronto. Brigitta travelled often to Buenos Aires to study with such noted dancers as Juan Carlos Copes, Antonio Todaro, Pepito, Gustavo Naveira, and Eduardo Arquimbau.
In 1987 she opened Tanzart with her partner Angelika Fischer,
where she hosted Arquimbau's visits to Berlin. In 1994 Brigitta
choreographed and danced in Tango Marathon in the Theaterhaus
Stuttgart and Tango Vision in the Podewil Berlin. She
incorporates into her interpretation of tango Body-Mind
Centering, which she studied in a four-year program with Bonnie
Bainbridge-Cohen. September 8 – 15, 2007 Yvonne Meissner & Eduardo Aguirre
Yvonne Meissner (Amsterdam)
Eduardo Aguirre (Buenos Aires) Yvonne & Eduardo teach the use of the torso and torsion, synchronization of the movement of the couple and interaction between lead and follow resulting in a conversation of bodies. Thus dance becomes the image of a milonguero: dancing tango becomes one heart with four legs. Their speciality are Canaro valses of the early thirties: Rhythm and pauses, turns and staccati become a challenging game between the couple.

And even more: Debora is a professional opera singer, her musicality adds distinctive touches to the couples teaching method. When dancing and teaching Tango Ulrich and Debora like to play with the concept of lead and follow. Debora encourages women to develop a feeling of selfconfidence and positive body perception.
